Description

Nine out of ten companies are being overcharged in some way by their banks.

Founded in 1993, Attfield James is an organically grown business based around the combined expertise of bank manager and finance director and founded on the premise that there is a real need for sound market information on bank deals and charges. Businesses have always wanted to know what level of charges they ought to be paying and how they could negotiate a better deal on credit and debit interest rates, but are often reluctant to drive a competitive deal with their account managers for fear of souring the relationship.

It was as a result of this situation that Attfield James launched its Cost Savings and Benefits Report service, the key strength if which is its ability to provide clients with expert advice on what they can achieve as a result of years of experience of so many other bank customers. They do not 'cherry pick' deals but take a balanced view of what is achievable in each case in the context of the client’s business as it stands in the overall market.

Once they have reported to you on what is achievable and how, they assist you in achieving the savings and benefits invisibly by helping you not only cut costs and increase benefits but also improving your banking relationship by passing you the initiative.

Attfield James offers expert guidance which will lead you through all your banking needs, renegotiate competitive bank charges, debit and credit charges and check interest charges, make the reclamation where appropriate and very rarely recommend a change of bank. They renegotiate invisibly to protect your current relationship with the bank. From the outset they will check it is viable for you and credible for them.

Fee base: provided potential savings and benefits are material enough (in excess of £2,000 pa), Attfield James operates a fee basis which is entirely self-financing. Their fee is taken as a percentage of the savings and benefits achieved. In cases where current deals are in need of defence against unreasonable bank demands for increased charges, fees are agreed at an hourly rate, fixed fee or contingent fee depending on the exact circumstances. Attfield James like to operate on a self-financing basis, provided it is economic to do so.

Attfield James offers a free of charge initial consultation to assess your whole banking arrangements.
